Services

Speech therapy and occupational therapy services are available to children who come from a variety of multi-cultural and diverse backgrounds. Our therapists are licensed by the State of California to provide evaluations, consultation and treatment for children with a variety of needs.

Speech Therapists both identify and treat communication problems related to language and speech.  A Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) addresses speech production, vocal production, swallowing difficulties, and language needs through speech therapy in a variety of different contexts.   The SLP is responsible for counseling of clients and families and for appropriate referral to other professionals.

Occupational Therapists (OT) assess an individual’s ability to function in everyday life activities and occupations that provide meaning to the individual’s life.  Skills that are assessed include: coping skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, visual perception, self-help skills, bilateral skills, sensory integrative functions, oral motor development, socialization, and play skills. Therapy addresses a child’s ability to function in these areas.  The OT is responsible for counseling clients and families and for appropriate referral to other professionals.
